Why Living Heritage exists
Conservative. Theological. Beautiful. Simple Discipleship.
We watched Christian curricula — both Charlotte Mason and other once trusted programs — veer from the path of passing on the full feast of the True, Good, and Beautiful in order to cater to postmodern and woke ideologies, insert ideology training, and add inferior books to meet some invisible diversity quota. We wanted to offer a K-12 program that would never bow to the spirit of the age. No apologies.
We also wanted to create an open-and-go curriculum for parents who wanted trustworthy theology, Reformed experiential piety, and rich beauty — a thorough and complete curriculum that teaches and reaches more than just the mind. We want education that reaches the heart.

We firmly believe that parents, not “professionals,” are the best teachers of their children and have all the tools they need through well-written books by the best minds the world has ever known. Education is discipleship.

Meet the Founder and Curriculum Designer
Dr. Becky Aniol
Dr. Becky Aniol is a pastor's wife and the mother of four — one already a homeschool graduate and three still being homeschooled at home. She holds an MA.Ed and a PhD, both in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Her doctoral work focused on biblical philosophy of education and curriculum design that informs the Christian imagination and orders the loves. She also studied Charlotte Mason both at the masters and doctoral level in one of the few, if only, graduate and postgraduate programs that was still at the time formally studying Charlotte Mason's volumes on Christian education.
Dr. Aniol consulted with homeschooling parents and Christian publishers for many years before launching Living Heritage. She regularly writes and speaks on educational philosophy and Christian discipleship. She also co-hosts the Living Homeschool Life podcast and the Busy Moms Can Read podcast.
But she didn't create Living Heritage in a vacuum. Becky is not a former public school teacher — nor is she a former public school student. She was educated Kindergarten through university through master's and doctorate all in Christian liberal arts environments and then taught in Christian schools before homeschooling her own children. She did not have to unlearn any secular nonsense. Rather, she's building on a firm foundation of Christian theology of education, having herself been educated through great books and biblical worldview. So, while Becky carefully designed the curriculum, she didn't do it alone. She had expert subject-area consultants every step of the way, and she stands on the shoulders of a whole generation of Christian professors, not to mention Charlotte Mason's Christian philosophy of education.

Rooted in the historic Protestant faith. We affirm sound doctrine, biblical worldview and imagination, young earth creationism, and properly ordered loves — and we reject postmodernism, progressivism, secular psychology, and cultural Marxism. Homeschool family worship is the heart of the day.

Living books, not textbooks. Narration, not worksheets. Short lessons, slow reading, deep digestion. Beauty matters. So does shaping the heart instead of mere information accumulation. Not simply knowing — but caring.

Family-style, K–12
