Why theology matters
A curriculum's theology shows up in every book.
It shows up in what you read aloud at breakfast, how you tell history, what you call science, and what you believe is True. There is no theologically neutral curriculum. Everyone is choosing — most of them quietly. We chose loudly, on purpose. It's part of who we are.

Scripture is the supreme authority
The Bible is the inerrant Word of God and the final standard for faith, practice, and education. Salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

Biblical worldview
Every subject — literature, history, science, art, etc. — is filtered through Scripture. We don't pretend a subject is neutral. The point is to shape the loves, form a distinctly Christian imagination, and learn to walk in biblical wisdom.

Young earth creation
All five high-school science courses (Earth Science, Biology 1, Biology 2/Anatomy, Chemistry, Physics) are grounded in literal six 24-hour-day creation. No apologies, no quiet compromises.

Confessional, not vague
We affirm the historic Protestant confessions of the faith (Westminster, 1689 London Baptist, Three Forms of Unity) as faithful summaries of biblical doctrine. We don't claim to appeal to people of all "faiths" — or no faith. We stand on doctrine because theology is the root of any methodology and doctrine does influence curricular choices.

Properly ordered loves
Education is the ordering of the affections. We teach our children to love what is lovely so they grow to love Christ above all.

Where this shows up in the lessons
Concretely.
Family worship as the foundation of education. Together Time opens with family worship — doxology, confession and prayer, a hymn, catechism and creed, Scripture. The Bible is the anchor of the day.
Church history emphasis. Not only American and world history, taught through the lens of God's providence. More than even that, children grow up reading and knowing the Reformers, the Puritans, the missionaries, the early church fathers, and the long line of faithful Christians who came before them.
Presuppositional Apologetics. The Bible is the ultimate, unquestionable standard for evaluating all truth claims. Christianity is the only logically coherent worldview that provides a foundation for knowledge. Children learn to defend the faith, share the faith, and think biblically in all subject areas.
Books are vetted theologically. We don't include books that contradict the gospel or normalize unbiblical ideology. Where a non-Christian book has literary or scientific merit, we mark the spots that need biblical refutation and turn them into narration prompts.
Science is young-earth. No compromises, no “allegorical Genesis” reads. Students learn to love creation and defend creationism.
Culturally and theologically conservative. Psalms and Hymns from the historic Protestant tradition. Picture study that never depicts Christ. Music study that doesn't include pop sensuality. Arts and literature from the Western canon. We're committed to keeping children's hearts with all diligence and passing on a biblical way of life.
