Background

An academic credential, a kitchen-table conviction.

Becky holds an MA.Ed and a PhD, both in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Her doctoral work focused on biblical philosophy of education and curriculum design that informs the Christian imagination and orders the loves. She also studied Charlotte Mason both at the masters and doctoral level.

She has consulted with homeschooling parents and Christian publishers for many years. She regularly writes and speaks on educational philosophy and Christian discipleship. She also co-hosts the Living Homeschool Life podcast and the Busy Moms Can Read podcast.

Her heart, though, is for helping Christian families. Becky has four children — one already a homeschool graduate, three still at home. Living Heritage is the curriculum she built for her own family — and it was tested on them long before it was sold to anyone else.

Why Living Heritage

Becky began to see (Christian) curriculum after curriculum drift

from passing on the full feast of the True, the Good, and the Beautiful and compromise on truly living books in order to cater to postmodern and woke ideologies. Insert ideology training. Add inferior books in order to meet some invisible diversity quota.

She decided it was time to take action. Her goal: a theologically rich, beautifully written, thorough, and complete curriculum that teaches and reaches both mind and heart. Something simple and straightforward enough for busy parents.

The result is Living Heritage. A curriculum that does the heavy lifting so the parent can do the discipling.

Parents, not ‘professionals,’ are the best teachers of their children. They have all the tools they need through well-written books by the best minds the world has ever known. They shouldn't be made to feel overwhelmed by educational materials with steps, objectives, and tools designed to meet quotas and appear in quantitative reports to government education boards.

Convictions

What shapes her work.

  • Biblically Faithful

Becky's theology is anchored in the historic Protestant confessions. Sound doctrine isn't decoration on top of the curriculum — it's the soil the whole thing grows in.

  • Parent-first

Becky believes parents are the primary educators. The curriculum is designed to equip the parent rather than replace her. Discipleship is at the heart of education.

  • Charlotte Mason method

Living books. Narration. Short lessons. Slow reading. The generous feast. These are the things that reach the heart and shape the loves.

In partnership with G3 Ministries

With her husband Scott, who is President of G3.

Becky's husband Scott Aniol is President of G3 Ministries, a Reformed teaching ministry committed to recovering biblical worship, education, and discipleship in the local church.

Living Heritage benefits from the partnership: G3+ courses are integrated into the curriculum at the high-school level, audiobooks and lectures and sermons appear in the Premium membership, and Living Heritage is endorsed by the G3 team as the Reformed homeschool curriculum they recommend.

One family. One ministry. One curriculum.
