Living Heritage builds flex into the school year so that we can have time for family adventures, catch-up days, and, our favorite — Festival Weeks. Rather than cram holiday books into an already full day, we leave room for intentional celebration. Festival Weeks are special plans that gather the family to mark the festival seasons of the year, no matter what curriculum you're using.
Each Festival Week is designed in the same gospel shape as Together Time, with Scripture readings, themed historic hymns, historic prayers, and art, music, and poetry drawn from the season. Drop one into your week whenever the calendar calls for it — they're built to fit right in. And they work for family worship as well as homeschool!

Advent
Ten days of readings, hymns, and prayers that lead your family toward Christmas and the wonder of the incarnation — preparing hearts to celebrate Christ's coming.

A week praying for our leaders, learning about God's sovereignty over the nations, honoring governing authorities, service and sacrifice, resting in our eternal home, and learning God-glorifying patriotism with Scripture, hymns, prayers, art, music, poetry, and optional American-themed storybooks.
