Living Heritage was designed for family discipleship — real families gathered around real books, growing together in love for God. We're delighted when families want to take that into a co-op, tutorial, or school setting, and we've made it easy to do so with licensing options that fit groups of every size and shape.

How licensing works
When you purchase Living Heritage, you receive a single-family license for your immediate household. Any use beyond that — two families gathering once a week, a structured co-op, a tutorial, a micro school, or a hybrid program — is covered by one of the licenses below.
Each license is generously priced and clearly explained, with no surprises.

Non-Tuition Co-Ops
Non-Tuition-Based Co-Ops
For groups in which families gather to learn together, no teacher is paid, and no student is charged tuition. Modest shared expenses for supplies or meeting space are welcome.
Full Living Heritage Curriculum (Premium)
Teach up to 25 students from Living Heritage Premium for a single school year.
$400 Premium co-op licensing fee (added to your own Premium or Premium + Syllabird purchase). Additional students above 25: $20 per student. The licensing fee may be shared among participating families — split among 10 families it works out to just $40 each.
What your license includes:
- Full Premium access for the lead teacher: daily plans, narration and writing prompts, project and nature prompts, Book of Centuries prompts, enhancement videos, Festival Day plans, exams, scope and sequence, and the G3+ app.
- In-class display rights on screen, whiteboard, or printed page.
- Permission to share book lists so families can buy their own copies.
- Permission to communicate weekly assignments to students in your own words.
- In-class playback rights for our One Minute Sight Singing videos, piano accompaniments, and children's hymn audios during Together Time meetings.

Together Time Only
Use just Together Time (homeschool family worship plus one looped beauty subject per day — poetry, picture study, composer study, Shakespeare).
$100 non-tuition co-op licensing fee for up to 25 enrolled K–12 students. $5 per additional student above 25.
The lead teacher may display picture-study prints and play hymn audio during in-class Together Time meetings. (Picture-study print sets are available at low cost in the G3 Shop for families who would like their own copies.)

High School Science Only
Use a single Living Heritage high-school science course in a co-op setting: Earth Science, Biology 1, Biology 2, Chemistry, or Physics (Math-Heavy or Math-Light).
$100 per science subject for up to 25 students. $5 per additional student above 25.
The teacher first purchases the individual science course (or owns the cycle in which it's included). Families purchase their own books.

A note on Basic plans
Living Heritage Basic plans are not offered under co-op licensing. The simplest path for a co-op that wants to use Basic is for every family to purchase Basic individually — at our co-op group rate of just $79 per family (see Tuition-Based Option 1 below for how to qualify).
Please note: families may not photocopy, scan, screen-share outside the in-person class meeting, record, photograph, or upload any Living Heritage materials to a shared drive, cloud folder, messaging platform, or AI platform (including chatbots, AI assistants, training datasets, or any other AI service). The lead teacher likewise may not redistribute Premium files in any form. See our licensing terms for details.
Tuition-Based Co-Ops
Tuition-Based Co-Ops, Tutorials, and Classes
For groups in which students pay tuition and the lead teacher is compensated directly or indirectly. Three options are available.
Option 1 — Teacher and every family purchase Living Heritage
You purchase Living Heritage for yourself as the teacher, and every family in the co-op also purchases Living Heritage for the same cycle. You may then teach as many subjects as you wish from that cycle.
If your co-op meets more than once per week, all families use Premium (or Premium + Syllabird) so the daily plans align with what each family is following at home.
Co-op group discount — available two ways:
- Your co-op has 10 or more families that meet together at least once per month, OR
- Your co-op has applied for and received Living Heritage Co-Op (Tier A) status — in which case the group discount applies regardless of co-op size (5+ families minimum to apply for the badge).

To set up the discount for your families, contact us with the lead teacher's name, your city and state, and the names of all participating families. We'll send you a unique co-op code your families use at checkout.
Option 2 — Per-subject student licensing (Premium)
You purchase Living Heritage Premium for yourself and pay a per-subject fee for each student in each class you teach.
$30 per student per subject per year. Each subject is one license — a student in your Literature class and your Biology 1 class is two licenses. Together Time as a whole counts as one license.
Students whose families already hold a current Living Heritage Premium membership for the relevant cycle do not require a separate license — just verify family ownership at registration.

Partner Designations
Living Heritage Partner Designations
Two badged tiers for groups that want to identify publicly with Living Heritage and be listed in our public directory.
Tier A — Living Heritage Co-Op (non-tuition)
A free designation for non-tuition co-ops that meet our standards. The benefit is the co-op group discount for every family in your group, regardless of size (5+ families minimum), plus a listing in our public directory and the right to identify as a Living Heritage Co-Op.
Requirements:
- Non-tuition (no teacher is paid, no student is charged tuition).
- The lead teacher / co-op coordinator holds a current Living Heritage Premium or Premium + Syllabird membership.
- The co-op meets at least once per month during the school year.
- The co-op uses Together Time plus at least two additional Living Heritage academic subjects.
- A minimum of 5 families, all of whom own a current Living Heritage cycle and register using the co-op’s unique code.
- Co-ops meeting once per week: families may choose Basic or Premium independently.
- Co-ops meeting more than once per week: all families must use Premium (or Premium + Syllabird), so the lead teacher’s daily plans align with what each family is following at home.
- The lead teacher annually affirms:
- The Living Heritage Statement on Education & Culture, and
- One of the historic Reformation-era Protestant confessions of faith: the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Second London Baptist Confession (1689), the Three Forms of Unity, the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion, or the Augsburg Confession (or another with comparable doctrinal substance).
- Annual roster reaffirmation.
Benefits:
- The co-op group discount ($79 / $239 / $359) for every family in your group, regardless of size.
- Listing in our public Living Heritage Co-Op Directory (including your affirmed confession so families can find a co-op aligned with their convictions).
- Right to use the “Living Heritage Co-Op” name and badge.
- Access to occasional Zoom calls for co-op leaders with the Living Heritage team (offered as scheduling allows).
Tier B — Living Heritage Partner School (tuition-based)
A designation for tuition-based, faith-based educational organizations that adopt Living Heritage as their primary curriculum: small private Christian schools (K–8 or K–12), micro schools, tutorials, and hybrid programs (where students attend a few days per week and complete the rest at home).
Charter schools and other publicly funded institutions are not eligible — their public funding precludes both tuition charging and our explicit confessional content.
Requirements:
- Tuition-based; serves a minimum of 5 families.
- The administrator / lead teacher holds a current Living Heritage Premium or Premium + Syllabird membership.
- The school implements Living Heritage in at least three subject areas (Together Time + two others).
- The administrator annually affirms our Statement on Education & Culture and one of the historic Reformation-era Protestant confessions listed above.
- Annual application; renewable each year.
Choose your cost structure:
Option B1 — Per-student annual license. Annual base registration fee of $300 plus $70 per student per year, regardless of how many Living Heritage subjects each student takes. Payable in September. Under B1, the school uses Living Heritage Premium materials to teach all classes; families do not receive individual Living Heritage memberships and do not have direct access to G3+, the parent communities, the Teacher Help Library, the curriculum ebook library, the Syllabird digital planner, or other home benefits reserved for individually-subscribed families. Families purchase their own books for each course.
Option B2 — All-family membership. All participating families purchase Living Heritage Premium or Premium + Syllabird at the co-op group rate ($239 / $359) using the school's unique code. (Basic is not available under Option B2 because Partner Schools meet more than once per week, which requires Premium for daily plan coordination.) Each family then has full home access to everything Living Heritage offers. The administrator / lead teacher receives one complimentary Premium membership ($299 value) annually.

- Right to use the “Living Heritage Partner School” name and badge.
- Listing in our public Living Heritage Partner School Directory.
- Annual leadership touchpoint with the Living Heritage team.
Family Cycle Ownership
What's reserved for families who own their own cycle
Some of what Living Heritage offers is reserved for families who hold their own subscription, so the parents who fund our work continue to receive its full value at home.
For all cycle owners (Basic and Premium):
- Our vibrant Facebook and Mighty Network communities, where parents ask questions, share ideas, and encourage one another.
- The Teacher Help Library — articles, videos, and podcast episodes on homeschooling philosophy and practical teaching.
- The curriculum ebook library.
- Eligibility to purchase the beautifully designed teacher manual add-on (coming Summer 2026).
Additionally for Premium subscribers:
- The printables library that accompanies the plans.
- Extra curriculum ebooks beyond the Basic library.
- G3+ app access — exclusive video courses like Senior Thesis Research and Writing, plus audiobooks for the curriculum.
- High-school student book-discussion groups (private Canvas).
- The Zoom parent book groups.
- Complete sample transcripts, class descriptions, and book lists for college admissions (coming Summer 2026).
- The Syllabird digital planner tool (Premium + Syllabird).
- A direct customer relationship with Living Heritage.
We warmly invite every co-op family to purchase their own cycle at our co-op group rate. Ownership gives each family unlimited home access to everything above.
Frequently Asked
Co-Op & Group FAQs
Can I share my Living Heritage materials with another family who is part of my co-op?
No — your purchase is a single-family license. The licensing options above exist precisely to make co-op use possible while protecting Living Heritage for the families who fund it.
My co-op is small — only 6 families. Can we still get the group discount?
Yes! Apply for the free Tier A — Living Heritage Co-Op designation. As an approved Co-Op, your families receive the group discount regardless of size (5+ families minimum).
Can families in our co-op pay for their Living Heritage cycle with ESA funds?
Yes. Living Heritage is an approved vendor in a growing number of state ESA programs (see our ESA Information page). A family whose cycle is purchased with ESA funds counts toward your co-op's roster just as if they had registered with your co-op code. Two things to know: state ESA programs pay our regular list price, so co-op discount codes can't be applied to ESA purchases; and co-op licensing fees themselves (non-tuition licenses, per-subject fees, and Partner School fees) are paid directly to Living Heritage and are not available through ESA marketplaces.
Can a charter school use Living Heritage?
Living Heritage Partner School is for tuition-based organizations, and charter schools cannot charge tuition. Charter schools also generally cannot adopt explicitly religious curriculum, and Living Heritage is openly confessional Reformation Protestant. So our Partner School tier is not a fit for charter schools.
Are licenses renewable?
Yes. All licenses are valid for one school year (12 months from purchase) and renewable annually. Annual roster reaffirmation is required for Partner Designations.
What if my co-op disbands during the year?
Our refund policy: once payment is processed, both digital products and co-op licensing fees are non-refundable. We encourage co-op leaders to confirm family commitments before submitting an application. See our full licensing terms for details.
What about audio and video helps in a co-op setting?
Lead teachers may play our One Minute Sight Singing videos, piano accompaniments, and children's hymn audios during in-class Together Time meetings. These files may not be photographed, recorded, downloaded, distributed to families, or shared in any way. The hymn audio links families use to learn hymns at home throughout the week are reserved for families with their own Living Heritage cycle.

Tier B — Living Heritage Partner School
Apply online in about 15–20 minutes. You'll provide your administrator and organization details, enrollment, your chosen cost option (B1 or B2), and your affirmed confession. On approval you'll receive your unique school code, public directory listing, and Partner School badge assets, usually within 5 business days.
